David is a founding member of ROCG, an international consulting firm that concentrates on business transitions in the SME (Small to Medium business Enterprise) marketplace. David is also a founder of Jacobsen & Company, P.C., a CPA firm located in Stamford, CT for over 20 years.   He began his career with Arthur Young in New York. He has also been a controller for an international computer software company.

David has over 30 years of experience working with privately held businesses.  His clients include a number of foreign companies in the U.S., including entrepreneurial growth companies in technology, telecommunications and software, as well as U.S. business in the services, software, real estate, distribution, manufacturing and construction  sectors. David provides accounting, tax and business advisory services to his client base.  The services provided include tax compliance, tax planning, accounting system reviews and implementation, business transition planning, business diagnostic reviews, strategic planning, benchmarking, business growth and extensive work with mergers and acquisitions.

David's goal is to help the business owner understand his or her business better, and to provide the information needed to make better business decisions.  This is accomplished by not only making accounting understandable but also by helping the business owner identify and monitor the key performance indicators used to help  define and measure progress towards their goals.

David received a B.A. degree in Accounting from Canisius College.
