Experience    

David has extensive commercial experience having worked in the travel industry with Australian Airlines and the energy utility Alinta. He was the General Manager of a large family owned wholesale business in Brisbane and has also owned a retail food franchise.

His consulting engagements have included:

• Facilitation of strategic planning for businesses including food and tyre retailers, professional service providers, printing industry, real estate, chemical and packaging wholesalers, manufacturers of metal products, information technology providers and several franchises
• Conducted customer and team member focus groups for wholesalers of computer consumables, recruitment firms and electrical contractors
• Developed marketing plans and assisted with implementation of marketing campaigns for a telecommunications company, a large plant nursery and landscaping contractor and several equipment hire businesses
• Preparation of business valuations in readiness for sale and due diligence on business acquisitions,
• Facilitated succession planning issues to ensure smooth transition for multiple family owned businesses,
• Provision of structuring advice for several mergers and acquisitions,
• Business process improvement for several retailers, air conditioning contractors and tourism operator,
• Developed robust and meaningful KPI monitoring systems for childcare centres, franchise operations, a major locksmith and security business and several wholesale and manufacturing clients.
