Peter Hobb specializes in partnering with his clients to help them build organizations that work better. Peter recognizes that every client is an individual with life goals that are unique. Peter understands that a client’s objectives may be building a more profitable organization, or building a legacy. A client may want to spend more time with the family, or a client may need guidance in preparing a business for sale or transition. Peter is a graduate of Ryerson University and holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Business Management. Peter became a Chartered Accountant in 1976 and a Certified Financial Planner in 1999. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. Peter has provided business advisory services to his clients for over 25 years. His experience has been gained while working in various capacities with leading public accounting firms, including KPMG and Campbell Sharp (now part of Grant Thornton), and with Hobb & Company, a firm in which he is a partner. Peter has worked extensively in helping business owners prepare their businesses for a successful transition to their successors. He is published in CA Magazine, has been a guest on local TV, and has done public speaking on a wide variety of topics, from creating a successful business to planning for the transition of a business. He is active in his community and is currently a Board member of the Memorial Hospital Foundation in Bowmanville and chairs its Planned Giving Committee. Peter has also been active in minor sports, coaching both hockey and soccer teams. Peter is married and has two children. He plays hockey, golf, baseball and tennis, and enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and biking.
