Yves is a Senior Consultant with ROCG which is an international professional service and consulting firm with offices throughout North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.  ROCG is the only international firm specializing in the areas of business transition strategy, finance and operations for privately owned and emerging growth enterprises. 

Over the last 30 years, Yves' used his financial and consulting background to raise funds for public and private corporations in Canada and the U.S.  Working in New York, Toronto and Montreal, he underwrote cross-border equity and debt issues with investors (secondary issues), prepared IPO, RTO and raised private capital with venture funds or angels investors.  He was instrumental in participating in many takeover bids, acquisitions and sales of public and private corporations.  Preparing and re-doing business plans, selling it to investors and then raising the required capital has been his career passion. He continues to work closely with the Hi-tech, Biotech, engineering firms as well as a number of clients from the food and construction industries to name a few. 

He has raised over $130 million in R&D funds for Canadian universities and university teaching hospitals financing medical and research equipment. He served as CFO for several small companies including a stockbroker and was formerly the Vice-President Operations of the Montreal Stock Exchange. 

Today he is actively involved in Transaction related activities, advising privately held business owners on both sell-side and buy-side best practices. He leads seminars and workshops with both SME owners and their advisors on dealing with transition related issues and new approaches to building business transactional value, and finding the financing that fuels merger and acquisition strategy. 

He is currently the Treasurer of the Quebec Environment Foundation, which is dedicated to educating primary and secondary students on how to be environmentally responsible.  The foundation is also an advisor to large food chains on how to eliminate plastic bag utilization. Yves has a B.A. in economics from McGill University, a law degree from University of Montreal (concentration in finance and business law) and received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
